Metro is delighted to support Sentebale charity - Stories of Hope at Getty Images Gallery who are hosting this the first photography exhibition in support of the Sentebale charity. The organisation helps at grassroots level, the most vulnerable children in Lesotho, a land locked country surrounded completely by South Africa and one deeply affected by poverty and HIV/AIDS. Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso of Lesotho founded the Sentebale charity, meaning ‘forget me not’, in 2006 in memory of the two princes’ late mothers.
The Sentebale charity – Stories of Hope exhibition showcases almost sixty images by award-winning Getty Images’ royal and assignments photographer Chris Jackson who has accompanied Prince Harry on his trips back and forth to Lesotho since the charity’s launch. The colourful and insightful images cover every aspect of Sentebale charities work from the harsh reality of daily life and the problems affecting some of the children along with the positivity which is gained through educating children with disabilities and the HIV-positive children who are growing in confidence as they attend Sentebale’s Mamohato Camps.
Prince Harry at Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup in Greenwich, CT in May 2013 commented “By working with the children, providing education, care and support, building knowledge and confidence, this generation can look forward with hope and live healthy and happy lives.”
The exhibition will feature fifty-nine C Type prints
