Metro support RPS International Competition & Print Exhibition 157

27 August 2014
The RPS International Print Exhibition 157 comes to a close in London this week but begins its countrywide tour visiting various locations around the UK until June 2015.

Metro is a print sponsor for this year’s competition and we have produced a selection of C Type prints through our online arm Metroprint. The RPS International Print Exhibition is the longest standing exhibition of its kind in the world having been held almost every year since 1854!  Over 6,500 images were submitted by photographers from 72 countries this year, covering a huge assortment of subject matter from the artistic to documentary, from portraiture to natural history.

This year’s selectors handpicked the final 100 images for the touring International Print Exhibition 157, including the Gold, Silver, Bronze and Under 30’s Gold Award winners. From the 100 prints selected for the exhibition, the photographers represent 23 countries, with 28% being under 30 years of age.

Awards:
Gold Medal - Jacqueline Roberts (Germany)
Under 30s Gold Medal - William Lakin (UK)
Silver Medal - Mandy Barker ARPS (UK)
Bronze Medal - Damien Wootten (UK)
Bronze Medal - Tamara Staples (USA)

The touring exhibition gives recognition and exposure to all shortlisters from photographers just starting out in their careers to fully-fledged professionals.
