Renaissance Photography Award & Exhibition supported by Metro

The winners of the Renaissance Photography Award 2014 were revealed last week at an awards ceremony which took place amongst the award exhibition at Getty Images Gallery. This year saw a record number of entries - nearly 7000 images entered by photographers from 72 countries. As official print sponsor Metro has produced over 65 Giclée and C Type prints for the exhibition as well as producing frames for a number of the images.

The competition, now in its seventh year had three single image category themes as well as an open series category.

The winners were as follows:

Best single Image Winner: Rohan Ghosh
Best Series Winner: Dany Peschel
Best Series Runner-up: David Favrod
Category winners:
Belonging: Franek Strzeszewski
Expression: Berta de la Rosa
Transistion: Jorge Valencia Avila

The prizes include credit to use against our services at Metro Imaging, portfolio reviews and invaluable mentoring opportunities with a leading Getty Images contributor and photographic supplies voucher from Callumet.

Renaissance Photography was founded in 2007 by Fiona Gifford a young breast cancer sufferer to raise funds for The Lavender Trust, a charity supporting young women. The Award now in its seventh year, is a much respected photography competition gaining the support of many industry leaders and offering international exposure for those taking part.
