Millennium Images have announced the call for entries for their Peaches & Cream IV Photographic Competition for which Metro is pleased to provide a print and mentoring prize as well as print sponsor. The competition, exhibition and award were launched four years ago to encourage and promote photography which demonstrates an original interpretation of reality.
This year’s competition is open to anyone and the brief is to simply submit a series of 3-10 images on any theme, in any style (documentary, art, travel etc.) and of any subject matter. Entrants are invited to think about their images in the context of a gallery and to also consider Millennium’s particular area of interest, photography for fictional book covers.
- £1000 Cash Prize
- £250 Special Graduate Award
- Portfolio binding at the Wyvern Bindery
- Three Year Contract with Millennium Images
- Printing and mentoring session at Metro Imag
- Exhibition in Central London at DreamSpace Gallery in October 2014
In addition to the prizes above there is the strong possibility of having the winning work used on a book cover for one of Millennium’s clients.
The judging panel this year consists of highly esteemed experts from the photography and publishing industry: Richard Kalman, Owner of Crane Kalman Brighton Gallery; Richard Evans, Art Director at Atlantic Books; Jason Shenai, Owner of Millennium Images, Jonathan Blyth, Co-founder and Creative Director of Fotonow; Federica Landi, Manager of Milim Gallery.
