Metro support the Patternity Festival & Book Launch - A Celebration of Pattern

22 September 2015
Metro is delighted to have been involved in producing almost 30 Perspex mounted C Type prints for the Patternity Festival of Pattern. Founded in 2009 by ‘cult pattern pioneers’ photographer/art director Anna Murray and surface/product designer Grace Winteringham, Patternity was born from a drive to use pattern as a tool to inspire, explore and innovate.

This five-day celebration of the inspirational power of pattern is taking place in the heart of London’s creative community  where the launch of their first book ‘Patternity: A New Way of Seeing’ will also be taking place.  The festival coincides with London Design Festival and London Fashion Week and features a collection of exhibits, events and experiences to bring life to the key chapter themes, patterns and specialists celebrated in the 224-page hardback published by Conran Octopus.

The festival features a packed and varied schedule including roundtable industry discussions, printing workshops, photography field trips, a well-being urban retreat and sound meditation sessions amongst other interesting events. The festival will join together a Patterntribe of leading thinkers and makers traversing the worlds of fashion, art and design, science, spirituality and wellbeing.

A retrospective of Patternity’s most notable collaborations, special projects and products to date will be on show and available to purchase at the festival. Limited edition prints and special volumes of ‘Patternity: A New Way Of Seeing’ will also be available.
Londonewcastle Project Space, 28 Redchurch Street, London E2 7DP

Festival Dates: 17th – 22nd September 2015
Opening times: 10:00am – 6:00pm daily.
