Metro have sponsored a fantastic event for Photomonth, producing prints for a project by Heather McDonough & Rod Morris. Working with the London Transport Museum, in temporary photo booths in locations along the new East London Line, the two photographers have taken portraits of passers-by and local people. This is a remarkable collection of work demonstrating the great diversity of the locations around the line. Peter Hince met Queen as a teenager in 1973, whilst working for Rock band Mott The Hoople, and he began as Freddie and John’s roadie as the band began recording the Night at The Opera album. He eventually became head of the crew, and as the longest serving member he developed a strong friendship with the group that shows in his candid and personal photographs.
