METROPRINT is for time-hungry, cost-conscious Photoshop-skilled photographers who want work prints, a portfolio or even an exhibition for a fast and neat webby price. METROPRINT is a new brand with attitude and a whole new agenda.

For some time now we have been noticing a wave of photographers, young and old, who are getting very computer savvy (some might even say, geeky). So we have been quietly plotting our own shiny new site aimed at Pros, semi-professionals, students and serious amateurs who want to take advantage of the skill and expertise at Metro, now at affordable online prices.

Crafting a balance between technical know-how and fun the site features easy-to-use tutorials in Photoshop, designed to be interactive with users encouraged to share their ideas with us and each other throughout.

Genuine black and white printing

Using our innovative process of digital Lambda printing to genuine Ilford black and white silver gelatin photographic paper, Metroprint will be an easy way for photographers everywhere to take advantage of this specialist black and white printing service.

Supersized prints checked by trained technicians.

Metroprints are produced in Clerkenwell at our headquarters, so all images are checked by professional technicians. Any supersized (over 60” x 60”) prints are checked by technicians to ensure the file formatting, borders and colour are absolutely correct before going to print. This gives you peace of mind, and saves you money and time.

Technicians available through Metro

If you think you would prefer to have a printer work on your files, you can upgrade to Metro Imaging’s full range of services, with technicians available to format your files, produce test prints and work in a traditional lab environment to your specifications.

Laser, not LED printing

Although many may not realise, Laser printing is still nearly 4 x the resolution of LED printers and at Metroprint you will have nothing else.

Great prices

You guessed it: the automated production workflow of Metroprint is reflected in the cost of a print. Metroprints are significantly lower than those produced with technicians at Metro Imaging, making Metroprint a significant player in the market of colour-managed online print sites.
