Metro is pleased to announce the sponsorship and call for entries of the latest PhotoVoice photography competition in celebration of the natural world. The judging panel will include award winning photographer and author Steve Bloom, who specialises, amongst many other things in evocative images of the living world.
The competition is open to all – regardless of age, photographic experience and background and is free to enter. The theme being ‘Wild’ the only requirement is that the image is an imaginative interpretation of nature or the natural world. Steve Bloom will be looking for interesting and inventive representations of nature that explore our ‘wild and wonderful world that is untamed by humanity’. Up to five images can be submitted per person and the deadline for entries will is midnight on Monday 22 April 2013. The judging panel will announce fifty shortlisted entries on April 29th 2013.
The fifty shortlisted images will then be exhibited in the online ‘WILD’ Gallery and each photographer whose image is showcased & shortlisted will receive a professional 16”x 12” Lambda C Type print

There will be additional prizes awarded to the winners of the ‘WILD Public Choice Prize’, chosen by the online public vote and the ‘WILD PhotoVoice Prize’ chosen by Steve Bloom.
PhotoVoice is a charity which works to build skills within marginalised communities using innovative participatory photography and digital storytelling. Giving those communities the opportunity to represent themselves and create tools for advocacy and communications to achieve positive social change.
