Metro is delighted to be involved in a wonderful project with New York and London based photographer Dr Andy Gotts MBE. Most noted for his black and white portraits of Hollywood stars, he has been photographing celebrities for over twenty years and this new project, in collaboration with The Arts Club, launches a unique set of iconic photographic portraits entitled ‘The Arts Club Actors' Collection 2012’ which includes portraits of Al Pacino, Brad Pitt and Kate Winslett to name but a few.
Metro has worked closely with Andy on this project and has printed all five editions of the twenty-five limited edition giclée (photo rag) prints. The first edition of each image has been framed and reserved for auction at the Club on Wednesday 12th September. Additionally on the night Club members will have the rare opportunity to have Andy shoot their portrait. He has offered ten, ten-minute private photographic sittings, each at £1000.
One of our expert printers here at Metro will print the 20” x 24” giclée images as the files arrive, having them ready and back at the Arts Club to be signed and ready for the lucky ten to leave with their personal print at the end of the evening.
We are truly excited to be involved in such a unique event the likes of which we have never before been seen at Metro. We wish Andy the very best of luck for the evenings proceedings.
All proceeds from the evening are being donated to Andy's charitable book project, 'iCons', to fund AIDS research.
