Metro is excited to announce a new partnership with Life Framer, a prestigious and wide reaching international award. Established in 2013, the Life Framer competition echoes Metro’s established ideals of support and showcase opportunities for amateur, emerging and established photographers and we are delighted to confirm we will be Life Framer’s headline partner for this year.
Metro’s involvement comprises the production of all exhibition prints for the three final shows and the offer of complimentary C Type prints
to Life Framer members. Additionally, Steve Macleod, Metro’s Creative Director, will be judging the final theme in September 2015.
The competition is made up of twelve monthly calls for entries with the overall theme of ‘Life’ - all encompassing and all defining but broken down into different sub-themes every month. The award is judged by a world-class photographer or industry leader each month, all with a wealth of experience and expertise to their name, providing a critique of their favourite images and valuable feedback to the photographers involved. The jury includes Peter Dench
, The International Centre of Photography
, Brian Clamp
, GUP Magazine
and Matt Eich
The main prize is for the winning photographers’ work to be exhibited in top galleries in three global art hubs: London, Paris and Los Angeles. In addition there are cash prizes, feedback from the competition’s industry judges plus exposure across both web and social media based platforms from Metro and Life Framer.
Photographers retain full and exclusive rights to their submitted work through and beyond the award and will have the opportunity to sell exhibited images too, without paying any commission.
