Metro/Made in Arts London Mentorship Programme 2017 Announced

Continuing our support and commitment towards student and young photography talent we are thrilled to announce our ongoing partnership with Made in Arts London (MiAL) is launching our second joint mentorship for 2017 open to students in their final year of study at University of the Arts London.

The 12 month mentorship will offer the winning student individual support and guidance during their final few months of study, their degree show and the first few months as a graduate from both MiAL and the experts here at Metro Imaging plus £1000 credit to spend on Metro Imaging services.

Additionally the winning student will also become a Made in Arts London artist, with the opportunity to showcase their work online at madeinartslondon.com as well as at MiAL events and exhibitions throughout the year in addition to being

Students in their final year studying on BA, MA and PhD courses at UAL are invited to apply for this mentorship but it is not essential for applicants to use photography as their main practice, but the photography medium must be a feature within their work.  The judges are looking for a student who demonstrations potential within their current practice, but would greatly benefit from this one-to-one support.

To launch the mentorship Metro’s Director Steve Macleod, will hosting a talk giving students an insight into the subjects that are covered during a 12 month mentorship with Metro Imaging accompanied by last year’s winner Giulia Cacciuttolo.

Closing date for applications: 18th December 2016

After the close of entries shortlist will be drawn up and the short-listers will then be invited for a short interview either in person or by Skype on 20th January 2017.
The winning student will be announced at the end of January.
