Life Framer Photography Prize: ‘Love’ theme winners announced

25 November 2014
The winner of the Life Framer edition II inaugural theme ‘Love’ has been announced as Luca Massaccesi for his sunlit image of a young girl floating peacefully holding hands on a water park ride with the runner-up position awarded to Ben Millar Cole & third place to Sally Ann Field.

Judging for this month’s theme was by Getty Images photojournalist Peter Dench who has worked all over the worked on photo assignments.  He commented on the judging process: “[It] can be quite a subjective process and I didn’t want the winning images to simply reflect my personal taste. In compiling the top three, I applied the following criteria: interpretation of the theme; composition; technical ability and creative skill. The shortlisted images were generally more silently observed, quiet moments captured by stealth, rather than documents of the passion and rage that love can often deliver.  It’s been an enjoyable and engaging process; thank you for taking the time to submit and share your visions of love.”
Call for entries for this month’s theme of Urban Life closes on 30th November 2014.
