The winners of the ‘Youthhood’ theme from Life Framer competition have been announced. The competition brief asked for images which portray or express the exploration of life as a journey, transitional stages, the teenage years, sexual expression, social beliefs, growing up, having fun in relation to youth.
1st prize was awarded to Delphine Blast
and her powerful environmental portrait of the glamorous princess set against dilapidated buildings. This month’s judge, documentary and portrait photographer Stacy Kranitz
commented, “there is something powerful in the ability to illuminate the personality of the human and the landscape. In this case, they rival each for the viewer’s attention.”
won second prize and third was awarded to Laura Pannack
This month’s theme is ‘Night Life’, whether it is a slow sunset announcing the sweet delight of an endless night or hazy dreams to harsh reality; hidden, empty streets or the glitz and glamour of the sleepless city. Life at night! Call for entries close on 30th June 2015.
