The winner of the third Life Framer competition has been announced as James Morgan
with his wonderful underwater image of a boy swimming with a large shark like fish. The Six Continents theme invited entries which ‘embark on a journey to expand the horizons to discover new people, cultures and landscapes. Human kind or nature, the ordinary or the magical.’
Award winning photojournalist Stefano de Luigi
judged the entries for the third “Six Continents” theme and said of his chosen winning image “this image is quite simple, at least in its composition, but when I first saw it I jumped out of my chair. I absolutely love the idea that somebody was behind the camera shooting this moment of joy. I ask photographs to surprise me, I ask them to enlarge my vision, make me curious about the stories behind them, I ask them to make me wonder again and again. This picture does all of that. I love this picture and I think it deserves to be the winner because it’s like an open window into an unknown world.”
The runner-up was Jakub Pasierkiewicz
and third place awarded to Tariq Zaidi.
