has been announced the winner of ‘Colours’, the latest theme in the monthly Life Framer photography competition. The brief for this theme was to show colour-inspired photographs – literally and figuratively: scenes, details, narratives or moods; subtle tones or Technicolor daydreams! The entries were a stunning and varied array of beautiful images.
The winning photo is a cheeky image featuring the contrasting skin tone of a black and a white woman. As Evegeny Tchebotarev
, this month’s judge explains, “This is definitely a winning photo. It reminds me of the style you see in Vogue or Communication Arts. The key to this photo is not just the subject - it’s great by itself - but the colour correction, which is natural, and not always easy to achieve. Bright details like the red nails finish the composition perfectly.”
The runner-up in the ‘Colour’ theme was Keisuke Otobe
with third place awarded to Lisa Shalom
The theme for the March is ‘Animal Kingdom’, calling for entries depicting the animal kingdom, exotic or domestic, wild or tamed, from comfort, to fear, to wonder – animals as a nuisance, a companion or a commodity. Call for entries closes on 31st March 2015.
The Life Framer competition features monthly themed briefs which will result in an overall winner and an exhibition featuring all monthly winners and runners up images, which will be exhibiting in London, Paris and Los Angeles, in addition to cash and industry prizes.
