Internship Position at Direct

Direct is the UK’s largest camera, lighting and photographic equipment rental facility.

We are offering full-time internship positions to individuals seeking a career in the photographic industry, providing a great opportunity to get to grips with the whole spectrum of lighting & professional equipment. You will be working within our lighting operations department and will be taught how to check, operate setup and fault find flash and continuous lighting equipment from all of the leading manufacturers.

We are looking for individuals who can offer their time in return for this opportunity. A total of £10 per day will be provided to cover lunch and travel expenses. The position will be based at our Waterloo site and based on a shift system between the hours of 7am to 8pm. Hours worked can be flexible to take into account any commitments you may have and will be for an initial period of 3 months.

An ideal candidate should satisfy the following criteria:
• Minimum 2 years studying in a photography based subject, with a basic knowledge of photography equipment
• Ability to work within a warehouse environment handling and lifting heavy equipment
• Enthusiasm with a conscientious attitude and attention to detail.
• Great time keeping
• Comfortable working within a large team
• Immediate start
