Metro has been thrilled to recently demonstrate what can be produced with our new products
, producing unique wallpaper for the entrance lobby of Oval Space, a recently opened multi use arts and event space in The Oval, East London.
Seecum Cheung, artist and arts curator from Oval Space, designed the artwork using gold as her theme she explored the link between commerce, surveillance and seduction, focusing on the idea of the captured image as a valuable resource for companies and governments in consumer analysis, hence drawing parallels between the values of gold and data.
Metro printed the repeated designs onto 1m x 1.5m Phototex self adhesive fabric materia
panels which were subsequently installed to create two striking walls measuring over 8m x 44m and 9.5m x 44m respectively. This particular product was perfect for this space due to it’s numerous and versatile qualities; stunning photographic prints with exceptional clarity, tonal range and colour. Additionally the material is waterproof, shrink and runproof.
Oval Space will be presenting a series of specially curated events over the next year within the lobby space, working with the local community on a series of arts initiatives. Please check out their website for more information on the many and varied events that take place.
