GQ has been hitting our newsstands since 1988, graced with front covers of some of the most celebrated personalities of our time and as part of their 25th anniversary celebrations GQ have selected the greatest fifty photographs of their twenty five year life.
Over the past twelve months in the run-up to their anniversary, the GQ team set about the task of sifting through every photograph ever commissioned, every frame published. Asking themselves the questions: How does one go about grading creativity? What makes a truly great portrait anyway? Is it the ability to capture the very marrow of its subject? Or is it simply to titillate and entertain? However they answered these questions the final list is, without doubt, a definitive who’s who of the past quarter of a century. A truly world-class selection of photography featuring the likes of David Beckham, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Keith Richards, Penélope Cruz, Sir Elton John, Cameron Diaz, Russell Crowe
The impressive list of contribution photographers include Lord Snowdon, David Bailey, the late, great Terence Donovan, Mario Sorrenti, Ellen von Unwerth, Art Streiber, Platon, Sam Taylor-Johnson to name but a few.
Metro is delighted to have produced a number of C Type prints
