Fujifilm Student Awards sponsored by Metro
Metro are pleased to invite you to the exhibition and awards ceremony for the Fujifilm Student Awards, to be held at Direct Studios on Thursday 17th July 6.30-9.30pm.
UK photography students were asked by Penguin Books to provide a new image for the cover of ‘Invisible Man’, the 1952 masterpiece by Ralph Ellison.
The brief for the 23rd Fujifilm Student Awards was to take a photograph on Fujifilm Professional film that both captures the spirit of the novel and fits the new Modern Classics layout.
The exhibition is made up of the 30 finalists in the competition selected from nearly 1,000 entries. All prints were made on the new Fuji Crystal Archive Pearl Paper and were expertly printed by Metro Imaging.
The winner will be announced at Direct Studios on the night. The competition was judged by Jim Stoddart (Penguin Press Art Director), Adam Freudenheim (Penguin Classics Publisher and Simon Bainbridge (Editor of the British Journal of Photography).
RSVP Jerry Deeney at jdeeney@fuji.co.uk or call 0203 040 0404.
