March 2016 sees the inaugural Dubai Photo Exhibition present a showcase of international artworks supported by the World Photography Organisation from around to world.
The exhibition brings together artworks from 23 countries, selected by 18 curators and celebrates the harmony and diversity of global photography on an unprecedented scale. Guided by the curatorial vision of Head Curator Zelda Cheatle and other world-renowned curators including Martin Barnes, Senior Curator at the V&A
, visitors will experience the evolution of photography through a selection of artworks from the 20th and 21st century.
Metro is delighted to be involved producing limited edition C type
and black and white fibre archival prints
for Martin Barnes from the Maurice Broomfield
archive, a photographer whose work documented the inner landscape of industrial Britain from the 1950s to the 1970s.
Dubai Photo Exhibition is set to provide a distinctive platform for photography to stand on its own as an art form. This exhibition will be supported by a series of public lectures and workshops and a thought-provoking symposium led by the international curators.
