Metro’s expert creative retouch
team were thrilled to be involved in work with Compassionate Eye Foundation (CEF) recently, offering complimentary services for the retouch of Jessica Beisler’s 2012 Vancouver Farm Shoot.
Compassionate Eye is a photography-based foundation started in 2005 by stock and commercial photographer Robert Kent from his hometown of Vancouver, Canada. It was founded on a simple idea; that on one day a year, he and many other photographers shoot a series of pictures then submit them to Getty Images for sale with a portion of the royalties going to fund the foundation’s mission. That mission is to support, honour and empower those in developing nations to expand, educate and sustain economic growth. Six years on CEF has held shoots and projects in six countries and continues to work toward its goals with the belief that it is better to get a hand up than a hand out.
Fiona Watson of Compassionate Eye comments: ”Metro did a really great job retouching forth-nine high res images - all shot by Jessica Beisler for Compassionate Eye Foundation.
These images are now online at Getty Images, every time they sell the entire photographer royalty plus a donation from Getty is paid to the foundation. Thank you Metro for helping generate the funds to support our causes”
