We are delighted to be supporting Life Framer Photographic competition Edition III again this year. A unique and far-reaching photography competition with 12 monthly calls for entries, each overseen by a world-renowned photographer or industry professional as well as a new Series Award launched this year.
The overall theme for Edition III is ‘Life’ - all-encompassing and all-defining but each month has a sub-theme which is judged by a different world-class photographer or industry leader. Each monthly winner will receive $1000 cash and have their entry printed along with the runner-up entries by Metro Imaging
which will then form part of the three exhibitions in London, New York and Tokyo in 2017.
This month’s call for entry is The Human Body: one mouth, two eyes, four limbs – and over seven billion combinations - home for the brain, the heart and the soul. The brief asks to look at the image of the human body… from the head to the toes; its aesthetics, its flaws, its quirks and diversity. Freeze a detail or a scene that captures our human nature. Portraiture and tasteful nudity is welcome. Entries will be judged by Mona Kuhn
, an international artist known for large-scale photographs of the human form.
Additionally this year there is a series award for photographers who would like to submit a body of work. Any topic, any genre, any format, the winner of this award receives an incredible opportunity for their own solo exhibition and evening launch at the Matèria Gallery, Rome
